Max Cranes faced a number of challenges due to the fact that Torrens Island is an operational power station and access to the lifting area was through high traffic / storage areas that could not be closed. Multiple underground services / hazards such as live gas lines, cable trenches and inspection pits were also present on site - which made the lift even more complicated and necessitated sound engineering control and risk management.
